FIRST ALERT FORECAST: Last weekend of April slated to be a beauty

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Admit it. Friday’s weather was a real winner. Yet maybe you had to work today and missed out? No problem. We’ve got you covered. This weekend comes with a pair of April gems!

FIRST ALERT FORECAST: Last weekend of April slated to be a beauty

Clear skies Friday evening will hold right through the day Saturday, and Saturday morning starts off a bit cooler than Friday, with daybreak temperatures in the low to mid 50s for much of the WAFB area. It stays sunny all day, occasionally breezy at times, but with no complaints as temperatures climb into the low 80s. Sunday morning will start out in the upper 50s and you can expect mostly sunny the skies right through the afternoon, with Sunday highs in the low to mid 80s.

Just remember, no matter what you’re going to be doing outdoors this weekend, we highly recommend the sunscreen.

The First Alert Forecast is now sneaking an ever so slight rain chance into the mix for Monday and Tuesday. Frankly, we wouldn’t worry about it. Highs for both days will be in the mid 80s.

The forecast after that is rather messy, meaning we are having a difficult time pinning down when you can expect rains for next week. For the time being, we will go with isolated to scattered rains Wednesday, with scattered showers and t-storms Thursday and Friday.

What’s more, our long-range outlook for next weekend (May 4 and 5) now includes a chance of rain for both days. However, confidence is low, so let’s wait and see how the forecast guidance responds and adjust as we head into next week.

In the meantime, get outdoors and enjoy this wonderful April weather!
