Pennington asking for participants in study on how exercise affects fat tissue in women

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Can exercise affect your body’s fat tissue?

Pennington Biomedical Research Center is asking for participants in a study examining how exercise affects fat cells in the body. The center says recent research shows new fat cells are constantly forming and being replaced in the human body. This VIVA research study will examine fat tissue in physically active and inactive women to find out more about how exercise affects fat cells.

TO QUALIFY FOR THE STUDY, PARTICIPANTS SHOULD:

  • Be a woman age 18 to 40
  • Be considered very inactive or very physically active
  • Not be pregnant
  • Have a BMI between 18 and 25 (click here to calculate BMI)
