BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - A very active FIRST ALERT Doppler radar today – rain and storms beginning to move into our area; we continue under a “slight risk” for severe weather.
The National Weather Service has issued a Tornado Watch until 3 p.m.
The major threats will be strong damaging thunderstorm winds, the possibility for locally heavy rainfall a isolated tornadoes. The prime-time for severe weather will be throughout the morning drive, into the noon hour but ending by late afternoon/early evening! Overnight, clearing skies – a low in the lower 60°s; much better weather tomorrow, sunny by afternoon – breezy northerly winds and a high of 79°.
