BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - First responders in Baton Rouge will be featured in a new network TV show premiering this summer, according to Mayor-President Sharon Weston Broome’s Office.

Baton Rouge area EMS, fire, and police departments will be featured on First Responders Live.

The show is produced by 44 Blue Productions, the same company that produced Nightwatch for A&E in 2018, which featured the nightly work of Baton Rouge EMS paramedics.

Mayor-President Sharon Weston Broome and EMS Executive Director Chad Guillot both said they were pleased to see the spotlight return to Baton Rouge’s first responders.

“We welcome 44 Blue Productions back to Baton Rouge to showcase even more of our highly-skilled first responders. This is a wonderful opportunity for a nationwide audience to see our first responders in action and to learn a bit about our great city.”
Mayor-President Sharon Weston Broome
“The department of EMS is very happy to participate in this upcoming show and to work with this production company again. They have proven to show the true nature of our city and department accurately. This project will give the public a chance to see how hard our first responders work and how our services impact the citizens of our parish.”
Chad Guillot, EMS Executive Director

Baton Rouge will be one of seven cities featured on the new show.

First Responders Live is scheduled to premiere at 9 p.m. on Wednesday, June 12 on FOX.
