BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - A woman has been arrested in connection with an arson case, the Baton Rouge Fire Department says.
Lakeshia Louding, 36, was arrested Tuesday, April 23 on a charge of aggravated arson.
Investigators say Louding intentionally set fire to the back of an occupied home on North 22nd Street near North Boulevard.
The report from the Baton Rouge Police Department says Louding was having an argument with her child’s estranged father when she was told to leave the property. She reportedly left the house through the back and used a container of lighter fluid to light the house on fire while people were still inside the home.
Firefighters with BRFD responded and were able to quickly put on the fire.
No injuries were reported.
