BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Regions Bank on Tuesday announced Amie D. Barton will serve as the Small Business Administration (SBA) Lending Specialist covering New Orleans, Lake Charles, Houma, Slidell, Hammond, Lafayette, Baton Rouge and other communities across South Louisiana.
Barton succeeds former SBA Lending Specialist Mike Anderson, who recently retired from Regions. She will be based in Baton Rouge.
Barton will work with business owners to support acquisitions, expansions and purchases of real estate and equipment. In addition, she will collaborate with bankers from several Regions departments to share the benefits of SBA lending for Louisiana-based companies seeking to grow. She will also develop and manage SBA programs available in the market.
Barton brings 19 years of banking experience to this role. Previously, she served as a Commercial Relationship Manager, Small Business Market Manager and Retail Branch Manager for Regions.
“Regions has made a significant investment in its capabilities, resources and talent to deepen the relationships we have with Louisiana businesses and identify ways we can help them build on their success,” Barton said.
She serves on the board of directors of the Livingston Parish Chamber of Commerce and serves as chairman of the board for Dream Teachers, a statewide nonprofit that honors teachers while elevating the education profession and addressing the teacher shortage in Louisiana.
