Shooting suspect arrested after injuring one at Meadowbrook Apartments

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Police have arrested a man accused of shooting and critically injuring someone on Thursday, April 18.

The shooting happened around 9:30 p.m. in the 3700 block of E Brookstown Drive at the Meadowbrook Apartments. Emergency officials say one victim was found in a vehicle near the intersection of Winbourne and Victoria. The victim was transported in critical condition.

According to the arrest report, witnesses told police Brandon Browder, 24, and an unidentified person had an argument with the victim that escalated into gunfire. Multiple shots were fired before Browder fled the scene.

Browder was arrested and charged with principle to attempted second-degree murder and booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison.
