CLEVELAND, OH (WAFB) - Former LSU wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. will be joining his former Tiger teammate and fellow wide receiver Jarvis Landry after being traded from the Giants to the Browns, according to reports.
The trade was first reported by Mike Garafolo with NFL Network.
According to the Associated Press, the Browns are sending a first- and third-round pick in 2019, along with safety Jabrill Peppers, to the Giants for Beckham.
Before last season, Beckham became the NFL’s highest-paid receiver with a five-year, $90 million contract extension.
He made the Pro Bowl in the first three seasons of his career, but was plagued by injuries his last two. He was the AP Offensive Rookie of the Year in 2014 after being drafted No. 12 overall by the Giants earlier that year.
