BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - LSU could very well end up with one of the nation’s premier recruiting classes if Coach O can land two highly sought after Amite High School stars.
Devonta Lee and Ishmael Sopsher, two of the Tigers top recruiting targets, have posted their announcement times for National Signing Day.
Lee, a 4-star wide receiver, will choose between LSU, Kentucky, and Texas A&M.
247 Sports ranks Lee the No. 8 athlete in the country and the nation’s No. 166 overall.
Lee’s announcement was set for 1 p.m. Wednesday on ESPN.
However, the Warriors' defensive line coach later informed everyone via Twitter that the time was changed.
The Tigers are in a real dog fight with Alabama for Sopsher’s commitment.
The 4-star, 6-foot-3, 334-pound defensive lineman is 247 Sports' No. 5 nationally ranked DT and No. 47 overall recruit.
Sopsher was scheduled to make his announcement Wednesday at 2 p.m. on ESPN 2.
Singleton’s tweet only mentioned one time slot, so it is not yet known if Sopsher will reveal his decision at the same time as Lee.
Crews will be on hand ready to pass on to the public which colleges both recruits choose.
LSU’s 2019 class going into National Signing Day is ranked No. 6 by 247 Sports and No. 4 by Rivals.
