Driver arrested in Oct. 2018 S. Foster Dr. crash that left 2 dead

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Police have made an arrest in connection with a deadly crash that happened in October.

Court documents state Tamyron Glasper, 22, of Baton Rouge, is facing vehicular homicide and other charges. Deshon Murphy, 20, of Brusly, and Tyrin Carter, 19, of Baton Rouge, died in the crash. They were both passengers in the car Glasper was driving.
According to the arrest warrant, Glasper was driving a 2010 Honda Accord on South Foster Drive on Oct. 8, 2018 when he lost control and was hit broadside by a tow truck.
Investigators said the road was wet and it is believed the car was going at least 58 mph. The speed limit on S. Foster is 40 mph.
Authorities said when the car started to slide on the wet pavement, Glasper overcorrected and the car started to spin. They added the car crossed into the oncoming lanes of traffic and was hit by the tow truck.

The PC stated Glasper was taken to the hospital, where blood samples were taken for analysis. It added the toxicology results showed marijuana in his system and investigators had found marijuana in the crashed car.
Glasper was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on charges of vehicular homicide, general speed law, careless operation, possession of marijuana, and insurance required.
Bond has not been set.
