NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) -Saints Head Coach Sean Payton is still mending after the heartbreaking NFC Championship loss.
Wednesday Payton held his annual end-of-the-season news conference where he went into detail about how he spent his time since the loss.
Payton took the loss just as hard as the fans, maybe even harder.
According to Payton, he took a page out of the heartbreak handbook and grieved in the exact way anyone would who went through a devastating experience.
Payton said he sat in his room for three days eating ice cream and watching Netflix.
The mental image is just as sad to think about as the no-call, but never-the-less Payton has picked himself up by the boot straps.
He also said he briefly spoke to Roger Goodell a few days after the game, but would not go into detail about the conversation.
Goodell is expected to speak at the Super Bowl news conference at 12 p.m.
