BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Governor John Bel Edwards is making good on a proposal to work with international groups to boost cyber security.
On Tuesday, Jan. 15, he welcomed an Israel-based company to Louisiana to partner with LSU. The governor first laid the groundwork for the partnership during his recent trip to Israel. One aspect of this will involve creating cyber security training scenarios in LSU Innovation Park. The groups will test new products and technologies.
“We wanted to make sure that we did everything we could in Louisiana to become leaders in cyber security, not just in the United States, but around the world, and to do it here in Baton Rouge on LSU’s campus is incredibly important,” said Edwards.
The governor says he hopes this is the start of many more things to come, creating more educated students and workers, and hopefully drawing more business to the area.
