NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) -It is the divisional round weekend, and The Saints will host The Philadelphia Eagles in The Dome to see which team will move one step closer to the Super Bowl.
The Saints are favored to win, but there is no such thing as an easy playoff game.
This season fans witnessed a 10-game win streak, a career-year from Drew Brees, and a defense that has seemingly peaked at the right time.
However, it only takes one bad game from a good team for it to all be over.
While many remember the epic beat down The Saints put on The Eagles back in week 11 against the now injured Carson Wentz, this game is bound to be different.
Never has a backup quarterback made so many fans around the league nervous quite like Nick Foles, who for the second year in a row is carrying his team.
Still, this is The Super Dome and Drew Brees we are talking about, and a big part of their success is from not taking anyone lightly.
“He’s always been a pretty calm, cool customer,” said Drew Brees. “You look obviously at what he was able to accomplish last year and certainly what he’s been able to accomplish this year during the latter part of the season. He makes plays and I think he’s got a lot of confidence in himself. I think their team seems have a lot of confidence in him as well.”
The game could come down to a battle of quarterbacks as both The Eagles and The Saints are good at stopping the run with The Saints actually being number one in that category.
Of course, the fans will have a big role to play when the game kicks off on Sunday.
