BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - The 21-year-old man charged in connection with the death of Councilman Buddy Amoroso has pleaded guilty to a charge of reckless operation, according to District Attorney Sam D’Aquilla.
Nicholas Alexander was indicted on September 6 on a reckless operation charge after a West Feliciana grand jury decided not to charge him with negligent homicide.
The crash happened on June 30 in St. Francisville. Amoroso was struck by Alexander’s SUV while riding a bicycle.
Alexander’s sentencing date will be Thursday, Jan. 10.
