BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - US Sen. Bill Cassidy, R-Louisiana, was in Baton Rouge on Friday to discuss several important national issues that are of great concern to Louisiana residents.
The senator talked about some of the effects the government shutdown is having on Louisiana.
He also discussed FEMA’s decision to write flood policies.
Cassidy mentioned the congressional recognition of Steve Gleason. The former New Orleans Saints star, who now suffers from ALS, will be awarded the Congressional Gold Medal. It is the highest honor Congress can bestow upon a civilian.
