(WAFB) - All inland waterways in Ascension and Livingston parishes reopened to recreational traffic at midnight.
The closures were put in place after a couple of rainy days caused high water levels and flooding.
There are no other special restrictions as of now.
The waterways in both parishes were closed to recreational traffic Friday at 6 p.m.
Some roads in the area still had high water Friday. In Livingston Parish, those roads were:
- Black Mud Road on Walker side
- Nan Wesley at Sims Road area
- Mclin Road at bridge
- Hood Road at Walker South Road
Severe weather moved through the Baton Rouge area Thursday evening, causing minor damage, including some downed trees, as well as street flooding.
