Police chase involving stolen vehicle ends in 4 arrests

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Four people are behind bars after a police chase early Wednesday morning.

The Baton Rouge Police Department identified the suspects as Dylan Sullivan, 27, Jesse Sullivan, 28, Roderic Porter and Krystale Turner, both 30-years-old.

BRPD reported officers spotted a stolen vehicle on Calumet Street just before 12:45 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 19 and tried to pull it over, but the driver would not stop.

According to police, Porter and Turner jumped out of the car after it hit a utility pole and were immediately arrested.

The Sullivans remained in the car and continued to elude police and were caught on O’Neal Lane, according to investigators.

The suspects are charged as follows:

Roderic Porter

  • Unauthorized use of a motor vehicle

Dylan Sullivan

  • Operating a vehicle while intoxicated
  • Hit and run
  • Unauthorized use of a motor vehicle
  • Aggravated flight from an officer
  • Resisting an officer
  • Possession of schedule II narcotics
  • Driver’s license suspended
  • Fugitive from justice out of Hammond, Tangipahoa Parish, and Livingston Parish

Jesse Sullivan

  • Unauthorized use of a motor vehicle

Krystale Turner

  • Unauthorized use of a motor vehicle

The investigation is ongoing.
