BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - The heavy rains have shifted to our east, but clouds and a few light showers will linger into Friday.
Cooler weather also makes a comeback, with a morning start in the upper 40s and highs only reaching the mid 50s on Friday. Any light rain is likely gone by late Friday, but clouds could very well stay with us for most of Saturday also.
With that in mind, it will likely be another cool day as highs only reach the mid to upper 50s. We should enjoy more sunshine by Sunday as low pressure finally pulls to our east.
Headed into next week, the extended outlook points toward comfortably cool and fairly tranquil weather. As it stands right now, we only have small rain chances in the forecast for Wednesday and Thursday of next week.
