BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - It was a violent start to Valentine's Day Saturday as Baton Rouge police worked five shootings in less than 24 hours.
The first shooting happened just after 6:30 p.m. Friday on E. McKinley St. Police say they found two men with gunshot wounds. Police say one of the injuries was life threatening. So far, no arrests have been made.
Just before midnight on Iroquoi Street, a man told police he had ben beaten with a pistol. The man then told police another man was shot on Live Oak Blvd. Police sent the first man to the hospital and located the second man, who had already died from a gunshot wound to the head.
Police have identified the man was Louis Hall, 57, of Baton Rouge. Police have charged Anthony Miles, 29, with first-degree murder. Police say Miles had a disagreement with Hall and the other man, and the situation escalated.
Police then responded to call on Kentucky Street just after 3 a.m. Saturday where they found Isiaah B. Thomas, 20, shot to death. No suspects or motives have been named in this case.
Finally at 5:30 a.m. police responded to a shooting at the Chevron station on Scenic Highway. There, police found a man believed to be in his 20's with a gunshot wound to the shoulder. Police say his injuries are not life threatening. No arrests have been made.
