Baton Rouge Police Remind Community To Remain Cautious Until Serial Killer Is Caught

Baton Rouge police say our own community serial killer fear has subsided since the nation's attention is now riveted on the sniper in the Washington area. And because of that police have an urgent message they want to get out especially to all Baton Rouge and area women. Police say too many residents may be letting their guard down.

Police reminded everyone that the Baton Rouge serial killer could very well still be in the area and ready to strike. Corporal Mary Ann Godawa with the Baton Rouge Police Department says that she has seen many women jogging and walking alone, which in her opinion is not a good idea.

"I can't stress enough importance of remaining cautious of all suspicious activity. Remain on alert until the person who killed Gina Green, Murray Pace and Pam Kinamore is caught," said Corporal Godawa.

Police also urged anyone with any information that could help the investigation, no matter how insignificant it may seem, to call the 24-hour tip line at 389-3310 or 866-389-3310.
