LIVINGSTON, LA (WAFB) - A wild manhunt landed a Livingston couple behind bars Monday afternoon.
The chase began in Livingston Parish on Highway 63 just south of Interstate 12. The road is also known as Frost Road.
A woman named Daune Ricker reportedly had a date with her parole officer earlier in the afternoon. Sources say she had a problem with a drug test, which is part of her parole.
Parole officers went to the home to search for drugs. Investigators say that's when the woman's husband, 30-year-old Christopher Ricker, came home and an argument followed.
Ricker then allegedly grabbed his one-year-old child and ran. Livingston Parish deputies quickly got to the area and searched for the man and child. They captured him at a nearby house.
Both Ricker and his wife were arrested, along with two other people who allegedly helped Ricker get away from investigators.
The baby was not hurt.
