Fund set up to help woman burned when house exploded

JACKSON, LA (WAFB) - Tuesday, a home exploded in Jackson, Louisiana while the woman living inside was cooking her breakfast. The home literally blew up.

Neighbors say they heard and felt the blast. One witness even said she saw the roof fly into the air.

The homeowner, Connie McMillan, walked away from the explosion, but is now suffering from second-degree burns on 50% of her body.

She's in critical condition at the Baton Rouge General Burn Unit. She has a long road to recovery.

There's now a fund set up for anyone who would like to help Ms. McMillan. You can donate in her name at the Highlands Bank in Jackson, Louisiana.
