WAFB StormTeam Weather Forecast

Soggy couple of days ahead - then a "cold front"?!

Today's Forecast

Today's Forecast Image

We all know the drill these days - it's really familiar, keep the umbrellas close by:  the forecast is calling for yet another summer day that will definitely include heat, humidity and rain!  We're looking at a sun/cloud mix through the noon hour with very little coverage of rain; however, expect increasing clouds during the afternoon, a 60% - 70% coverage of showers/storms, a high temperature in the lower 90°s.  Later tonight, a few lingering showers may pop up on FIRST ALERT Doppler radar – a low in the mid 70°; tomorrow, it's "rinse and repeat" -  the same basic forecast – hot/humid, 60% coverage of showers and storms, a high of 91°.  We're still expecting an "August cold front" to push through our viewing area late Tuesday/Wednesday morning, pulling in drier air and helping to bring about cooler morning lows and less humid conditions - for at least a few days!!  However, the  break from the "summer muggies" won't last long; humidity and rain chances return to the forecast by the end of the week into the weekend. - Diane Deaton, WAFB First Alert Storm Team
