Start off the warm weather season with a weekend of family fun! The LSU AgCenter hosts 11th Annual Baton Rouge Spring Garden Show on March 9th and 10th, along with the Louisiana State 7th Annual Chili Cook Off and 4th Annual Baton Rouge Car Show!
Admission is just $5 for adults, and kids under 12 are admitted at no charge.
11th Annual Baton Rouge Spring Garden Show Saturday, March 9 and Sunday, March 10, 2013 9:00 – 4:00 each day John M. Parker Coliseum, Highland Road @ South Stadium Drive, LSU Campus Admission is $5.00 for adults, children under 12 admitted at no charge
The coliseum is transformed into an amazing spring garden with local vendors and experts from LSU AgCenter to give gardening advice that will help you transform your own garden into a place you'll enjoy all year round! You can even bring in soil samples from your garden for analysis by LSU AgCenter experts and local plant societies. Also, there's a KidsZone with activities for your little ones to enjoy.
Proceeds from the Garden Show will go towards student scholarships.
7th Annual Chili Cook-Off Saturday, March 9 and Sunday, March 10, 2013 10:30 – 5:00 each day Next to the John M. Parker Coliseum, Highland Road, LSU Campus
Watch some of the best chili cooks in action and sample some of the greatest chili recipes in the state. A variety of other food will be available as well as live music and entertainment for both adults and children, an event the whole family can enjoy.
The Chili Cook-Off will benefit children at Our Lady of the Lake Children's Hospital.
4th Annual Baton Rouge Spring Car Show Sunday, March 10, 2011 Next to the John M. Parker Coliseum, Highland Road @ South Stadium Drive, LSU Campus Registration: 9:00 – Noon
Come out and take a walk down memory lane with beautiful classic cars, or get your motor running with street rods and modern sports cars. All makes and models are welcome, registration is $25 if you wish to enter your own vehicle.
Proceeds from the car show will benefit the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank.
