Crawfish or Shrimp Etouffee from The Table is Bread

INGREDIENTS

1 lb.   crawfish tail or medium peeled shrimp
2 st.   Margarine
1 Onion (Chopped)
1 Bell Pepper (Chopped)
1/4 c.   Flour
8 oz.  can of tomato sauce
8 oz.  water or chicken broth
Creole seasoning to taste

PROCEDURE

  • Melt Margarine in medium pt on medium high heat.
  • Add onion, bell pepper, sauté for 10-12 minutes on medium high heat.
  • Add Flour, stir until well mixed cook for 3-5 minutes
  • Add all other ingredients simmer for 20-30 minutes on low heat stirring occasionally.
  • 4 Servings
