Blanco and Jindal in Washington Thanking Congressional Leaders

Governor Kathleen Blanco and Governor-elect Bobby Jindal teamed up Tuesday and went on a "thank you tour" on Capitol Hill.

They were thanking congressional leaders for their support for billions of dollars in hurricane recovery money and coastal projects.

The two even went as far as to post a full page "thank you" ad in the newspaper.

"These two appropriations, the water bill and the Road Home program, is going to give our people the confidence to be able to come home and rebuild safely," Blanco says.

President Bush just signed a bill backed by Congress that gives $3 billion to the money-strapped Road Home program.
