INGREDIENTS
1/2 gallon apple cider
1/2 cup brown sugar (optional)
1 Tblsp HERBS by Sarah Mulling Spices (cinnamon, cloves, allspice, coriander seed, star anise)
PROCEDURE
- Pour cider and sugar into a large stainless steel or enamel pot and stir to dissolve sugar. Place spices in a small muslin bag or a stainless steel tea strainer and add to pot. Bring to a boil, lower fire and simmer for 1 hour.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving. Pour into a punch bowl and garnish with slices of orange studded with cloves. Or serve in mugs with cinnamon stick stirrers.
