Dr. Roger Butner earned his Masters of Marriage and Family Therapy degree from Abilene Christian University, and is a licensed MFT in the state of Louisiana. He has been providing high quality Christian therapy since 1997. He helps clients with a wide range of issues, some of which include: depression, anxiety, self-injuring behaviors, domestic abuse, marriage preparation, marriage counseling, family counseling, and adolescent and child counseling.
He is also a MFT supervisor-in-training, and is available for supervision for those working on an MFT license. He got his Ph.D. in Family Studies and Mass Communication from the University of Alabama because of his passion for helping families remain healthy in our electronic entertainment age.
In addition to his counseling practice, he served for over four years as the family minister and director of the counseling center for the South Baton Rouge Church of Christ. He and his wife have one son.
