Sogno di Cioccolata from Carrabba's


2 boxes your favorite chocolate cake mix
1/2 cup Kahlua
4 cups chocolate mousse
4 cups whipped cream
1/2 cup shaved chocolate
Warm chocolate sauce


  • Bake cakes according to directions on box. Do not overbake! Cakes should be done but still soft and chewy.
  • Carefully remove cakes from pans and flip over.
  • In one pan, place one upside down cake.
  • Brush surface with half of the Kahlua. Be sure to get the edges well.
  • Spread half of the mousse over cake followed by half of the cream.
  • Sprinkle shaved chocolate over whipped cream.
  • Repeat with the other upside down cake.
  • Brush with the rest of the Kahlua and top with the rest of the mousse and cream. Chill.
  • Serve on top of warm chocolate sauce and drizzle more chocolate over the top.
