LSU Student Faces Charges Related to Threats on Campus

An LSU student is facing charges for making threats on campus. Police arrested 26-year-old David Ghara Monday after students told them Ghara had twice made threats in class. Classmates say Ghara brought in a picture of a former instructor and stabbed it with an exacto knife.

Two days later, he was overheard saying he was going to pull a Scarface or a Virginia Tech.

LSU police say they won't tolerate people using the words kill, injure, or making light of tragic events.

Chief Ricky Adams says, "There were students refusing to go to class, even instructors refusing to go teach class because of this. They were concerned about this individual's conduct."

David Ghara is now at the Parish Prison waiting for his bond to be set.
