Comment: The shrimp this time of year are big and beautiful so I couldn't resist incorporating them into a Superbowl recipe that will score more points than both teams combined. The recipe is a New Orleans twist on a Buffalo favorite that will have you begging for more.
Ingredients:
36 Jumbo shrimp, shell and head on
1 pound butter
4 cloves garlic, sliced
¼ cup Worcestershire sauce
1 cup Louisiana Hot Sauce
4 tsp pepper flakes
¼ cup green onions, sliced
salt and black pepper to taste
Method: In a large heavy bottom skillet, melt butter over medium-high heat. Add garlic and sauté 1-2 minutes. Stir in Worcestershire, hot sauce and pepper flakes and simmer 7-10 minutes. Add shrimp and green onions. Cook 5 minutes until shrimp are pink and firm. Serve shrimp and sauce hot with warm French bread.
