However, head coach Josh Puryear said it gives his kids a true competitive experience in the regular season.
Quarterback Derrick Varnado has moved to wide receiver and Zachary Diez is now at the controls.
"We're starting to get more guys who are interested in football and that want to kind of focus on football and improve," said Puryear. "Each year here, it gets better and better."
Puryear is going into his sixth year at the helm.
He said skill positions are the strength of this year's team.
"We should be able to compete, win a few games, and show everybody what we can do," said senior wide receiver/safety Tyler Cambre.
"This year, have the same record as last year or even better," added senior defensive end/linebacker Luke Syove.
