KENTWOOD, LA (WAFB) - The first Sportsline show is this week, but the Sportsline Summer Camp continued Saturday with a stop under the water tower for a preview of the Kentwood Kangaroos.
Head coach Jonathan Foster, a star at Amite from the 90s put his current team against his alma mater in a Thursday scrimmage that had the feel of "big boy" football.

LSU recruit Trey Palmer used his 4.4 speed to get past the Amite secondary for a touchdown.
The senior wide receiver and defensive back is on a mission to close out his career with a state title, after falling short in the Superdome against West St John.
He's clearly going to be featured in many ways, along with returning running back Larry Carter.
Palmer's not alone on defense, as the Roos controlled things in the scrimmage.
Foster, who won a state title as a player over St James in 1994, would like to see his seniors go out on top.
"Man, I love it; Sportsline actually debuted while I was in high school," said Foster. "I remember we used to get home and watch, so I just grew up on Sportsline - Steve Schneider and Andre Moreau. I don't know what Andre's doing now, but he was one of the first guys with the football and man I loved it. I remember Amite/Cecilia '94 and they were talking about us back then, so I've been with Sportsline for a long time."
