BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - A Baton Rouge woman has been arrested for reportedly attacking her mother after getting into a fight about her daughter's hair.
On Wednesday, August 8, officers with the Baton Rouge Police Department were called out to a home on N 36th Street about a disturbance involving weapons. When officers arrived, they say a 10-year-old girl was in the driveway screaming hysterically.
Officers then report seeing a woman, later identified as Kendra Revish, 37, come out of the house. The police report states Revish had a strong, alcoholic smell on her breath and appeared to be drunk. Revish was reportedly irate and yelling, and was evasive when questioned about if there were weapons involved in the fight.
Police were then able to separate Revish and the victim, Revish's mother, 59, who has a screw in one leg, for which she goes to physical therapy for, and has a tumor in her head.
The victim claims Revish attacked her while they were having an argument about Revish's daughter's hair. Revish reportedly grabbed the victim by the neck, then chased her outside and attempted to hit her with a metal table ornament.
The report states the officer on the scene tried to write Revish a summons and allow her to leave in order to de-escalate the situation, however, Revish reportedly ran back into the house and continued to scream and yell at her mother, so the officer arrested her.
Revish was transported to parish prison, where she was charged with battery of the infirm and aggravated assault.
