BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - The current cast of LSU receivers isn't lacking in talent or potential, but the players don't have much game experience in college.
Their position coach said they're making progress over the summer, but with high-profile freshmen contending for playing time with veterans, it sounds like nearly all of them could wind up getting on the field.
"They all bring different things to the table; they're all different," said wide receivers coach Mickey Joseph. "They range from 5-11 to 6-6, from 185 to 225. I think as a group, they're a pretty good group together. I don't think one of them sticks out. I think there's going to be some games you play 9 or 10 receivers to get it done."
LSU takes on Miami on September 2.
