BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

Many Baton Rouge area residents are hoping to bring new attention to what they say has been a long-ignored issue. They say they're fed up with numerous problems involving Ronaldson Field, everything from air quality to drainage issues.

The councilwoman for that area says she feels many of the complaints raised over the years have been ignored.

"The residents here have written down what they would like to see those elected officials and come up with how we can bring this attention back. It's been going on almost 50 years," said Councilwoman Chauna Banks-Daniel.

The concilwoman also says she feels many of the problems became worse in the aftermath of the August 2016 flood.
