GONZALES, LA (WAFB) - Investigators are trying to figure out the identities of two people accused of using fake money to make a purchase.

The Gonzales Police Department reported it happened at Marchand's Interiors on North Alexander Avenue on April 30.

According to detectives, the woman used a counterfeit $100 bill to buy an item that totaled a little more than $18 after tax and pocketed the real money she received as change.
