BRPD warns drivers summer school zones will be enforced

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

School Zone speed limits of 20 mph will be in effect and enforced this summer, the Baton Rouge Police Department reminds drivers.

These School Zones will be in effect from June 4 to June 21, Monday through Thursday from 7 to 9 a.m. and from 2 to 4 p.m. All affected School Zones are marked with signs, flashing lights, or both. Drivers should use caution and obey all posted speed limits.

  • Elementary Schools
    • Bernard Terrace
    • Capital 
    • Cedarcrest 
    • Crestworth 
    • Park Forest
    • Twin Oaks
    • Winbourne
    • University Terrace
  • Middle Schools
    • Broadmoor
    • Capital
  • High Schools
    • Broadmoor
    • Scotlandville
    • Tara
    • Woodlawn
