BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - A woman accused of purposely hitting one person and then slamming into two houses is now behind bars.
According to court documents, Krystle Mealey, 32, of Baton Rouge, was arrested Monday.
The Baton Rouge Police Department reported Mealey tried to use her car to hit three people who were standing in front of a house on North 26th Street near Convention Street on May 22.
Police said she only ended up one of her three intended targets but also drove into the side of the house. They added when she tried to drive off, she hit another house.
Authorities reported her vehicle then would not go any farther, so she got out and ran off.
Mealey was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on charges of attempted first-degree murder (3 counts) and simple criminal damage to property (2 counts).
Her bond is set at $160,000.
