REPORT: 2018 will have highest July 4 gas prices in 4 years

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

Drivers planning to hit the road to celebrate the Fourth of July holiday will be paying more when they fill up.

GasBuddy reports the average price of gas is $2.90 per gallon. It is the highest Independence Day prices since $3.66 per gallon in 2014, according to the report.

In Baton Rouge, the average price of gas is $2.50, but the lowest is $2.32.

Experts added the higher gas prices aren't likely to stop people from traveling for the holiday.
