BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Two movies will be filmed in Baton Rouge this summer, says the Business Report.
Avalanche will begin pre-production on July 1. The other movie, 1973, which is already in pre-production, will be filming in Baton Rouge from June 15 to July 17.
It's not yet clear how many jobs the two movies will bring to the area. The executive director of Film Baton Rouge says the two movies coming to Baton Rouge is a result of the state's new tax incentives for movies that went into effect last July.
The Business Report says the scope of the two projects will become more clear once crews are in town and offices are set up.
