YOUR TURN: Lawmaker Bar Fight

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Two Louisiana lawmakers had a fight in a bar on May 15, which sounds like the start of a good joke, but nothing is funny.

This week's YOUR TURN goes to Walter Williams. He wrote:

I'm glad to see that they are so passionate about their work but something is wrong. Please correct me if I am wrong but fighting in public is against the law. I have seen fights on social media and law enforcement tracks down the violators and charges are filed. Is this same action going to be taken with these lawmakers? Disturbing the peace and battery by fistic encounter are misdemeanor charges. Honorable lawmakers should turn themselves in on these charges and show the Louisiana public that they truly are passionate about making Louisiana law and upholding it. Could it be that there is a separate set of rules for our lawmakers. Their colleagues apparently thought it was a joke that i mentioned earlier. They showed their concern over the issue by stringing crime scene tape around one of the desk.

That was Walter Williams's turn, now it's your turn.
