BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - The parking lot of the Elm Grove Garden Apartments was covered with crime tape late Sunday night, where police say Henry Carr, 34, and Kendrick Dixon, 32, were found shot to death.
Sgt. Don Coppola with the Baton Rouge Police Department says Carr was found outside his car in the lot, while Dixon was found inside.
Other than that, investigators do not have many details and they're looking at all possibilities. At this point, they cannot confirm that the two men were shot by someone else, or that they shot each other.
Either way, it's an incident Elm Grove residents are tired of seeing. They say crime has become an issue for that area.
"It's aggravating and it's frustrating and it's like, it gets very upsetting because it feels like you have no help," said Erica Moten, the mother of a 3-year-old boy. She isn't the only mother worried about the violence.
Lekisha Stovall says she's lived at Elm Grove for two years and she really wants to see the area improve. "People have lost their family members, people have lost their children," Stovall said.
The residents WAFB spoke to did not know the two men or recognize them as living at the complex. According to police, Carr lived on Tate Street and Dixon lived on Spanish Town Road.
