Longtime Baton Rouge DJ Scotty Drake set to retire

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - A Baton Rouge legend will hang up his headphones Friday.

There aren't many people in south Louisiana who haven't heard the voice of "The Drake."

Scotty Drake is retiring after his final show Friday afternoon.

Baton Rouge's longtime DJ has been on 98.1 for 31 years. That's following it back through "Eagle," "Oldies," and "Zee 98." He started at WLCS 16 years before that.

Drake's show starts Friday afternoon and runs until his sign-off at 6:30 p.m.

Congratulations to Drake on a great career and we wish him the best of luck in his retirement.
