Tigers open SEC Tournament play against Ole Miss

COLUMBIA, MO (WAFB) -

The LSU softball Tigers open SEC Tournament play against the Ole Miss Rebels Wednesday afternoon.

The No. 11 Tigers (40-13, 13-10) are the No. 5 seed in the tournament and the Rebels (30-22, 7-17) are the 12th seed.

The two teams faced each other in early April at Tiger Park, where LSU took two-out-of-three in the series.

Elantra Cox and Kylan Becker lead the Rebel hitting attack.

Cox is batting .343 with three doubles and three triples and Becker is hitting .307 with five doubles and two triples. 

Kaitlin Lee and Anna Borgen are the aces on the mound for Ole Miss.

Lee is 16-11 with a 2.28 ERA (165.2 innings pitched) and Borgen is 4-5 with a 2.75 ERA (61 innings pitched).

First pitch from Mizzou Stadium in Columbia, MO is set for 4 p.m. and will air on the SEC Network.

The winner advances to play the No. 4 seeded Tennessee Vols Thursday at 4 p.m.
