BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Detectives are trying to identify the man who robbed a payday loan business in Baton Rouge at gunpoint on May 3.
The Baton Rouge Police Department reported the crime happened at Advance American Payday Loans on Government Street just before 3 p.m.
Sgt. Don Coppola Jr. with BRPD said the man went to the business and started asking about a loan, but then pulled out a handgun and demanded money.
He added the man was given an undisclosed amount of money. The robber was seen driving off in a newer model Chevrolet Impala.
He is described as having a slim build and is believed to be between 35 and 45 years old. He also wore bifocal glasses.
According to Coppola, no one was injured.
Investigators said they believe the same man is responsible for other robberies in the area.
