CAUGHT: Man steals nearly $500 from classroom at Dutchtown High

The man wanted for allegedly stealing money from a classroom at Dutchtown High School turned himself in to authorities Monday night, say officials with the Ascension Parish Sheriff's Office. The suspect has been identified as Justin Lodge, 24. Lodge was booked into the Ascension Parish Detention Center and is charged with theft less than $1,000, criminal trespassing, and simple burglary.

The Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the man who stole money from a classroom at Dutchtown High.

Deputies said it happened on May 1. They added the man took $480.

Investigators hope someone recognizes the man from the image captured by a surveillance camera
