TERREBONNE PARISH, LA (WAFB) - Authorities are investigating a shooting at a large after-prom party that sent two people to the hospital early Sunday morning.
The Terrebonne Parish Sheriff's Office reported deputies were called to the area of West Park Avenue and Johnson Ridge Lane around 12:30 a.m.
Sheriff Jerry Larpenter said the victims were driven to the hospital in personal vehicles. He added their injuries are not considered life-threatening.
Detectives said they learned more than 150 people from several schools attended the party and at some point, gunshots were fired, sending the partygoers running in all directions to get to their cars.
Deputies are asking anyone at the party who knows what happened or has pictures/video from the party to call them at 985-876-2500 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-743-7433.
The investigation is ongoing.
