BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - A second person has been arrested in connection with a stabbing in November at a neighborhood store.
Court documents show Johndrika Hawkins, 29, of Baton Rouge, was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on Thursday.
The Baton Rouge Police Department reported the attack happened at Cousin's Food Mart on Airline Highway on Nov. 27, 2017.
According to reports, the victim was at the store visiting a friend who works there when he and another woman got into an argument.
Police said Charlene McKneely, 27, of Baton Rouge, confronted the victim about he and his sister calling authorities on her for breaking into his house. They added the argument turned physical and McKneely pulled out a knife.
According to a probable cause report, the victim told investigators McKneely was stabbing him when he heard her say, "get him bae." It added the victim said Hawkins then stabbed him twice in the back. Police reported the victim also suffered stab wounds to his face, chest, and hand.
McKneely was arrested in December on a charge of attempted second-degree murder. She has since bonded out.
Hawkins is also charged with attempted second-degree murder. Her bond is set at $150,000.
