West Baton Rouge Parish firefighters save dog from fire

BRUSLY, LA (WAFB) - Firefighters with the West Baton Rouge Parish Fire Department showed their commitment to saving lives Thursday afternoon.

Crews responded to a house fire in Brusly and pulled a dog from the blaze. Firefighters spent time with the animal cooling it down with water and giving it oxygen to combat smoke inhalation.

The dog was then taken by the Addis Police Department to a local veterinary officer for further treatment.
